1992
Douglas Peterson founded 3-Dimensional Services as a single facility operation that focused on prototype development manufacturing.
1994
We expand our facility with 20,000 SF of new space to support larger volumes.
1996
The 3-Dimensional Services Group expands into plastic injection molding and mold tooling.
1996
We became ISO 9000 certified to show our commitment to quality management and better support our customers.
2000
Our Lapeer campus is founded with a 50,000 SF facility to support larger volumes.
2004
We expand Lapeer with 50,000 SF of new space to expand our metal forming and assembly capabilities.
2012
We purchased a 60,000 SF facility in Imlay City, Michigan, housing raw materials, tooling storage, and waterjet capabilities.
2016
We expand our facility in Lapeer with 68,000 SF of new space to expand our offerings and have a collaboration space for our customers.
2018
We became AS9100D certified to better assist the aerospace, space, and defense industries.
2021
We open a second and third facility in Lapeer bringing total square feet in Lapeer to 330k. This expansion significantly enhanced our CNC machining and assembly capabilities allowing us to better support bridge and low volume production.
2021
We became IATF 16949:2016 certified to demonstrate our commitment to continuous improvement, defect prevention, and reducing waste.Â
2022
We expand our plastics business with a second facility. This expansion added 45,000 SF of modern manufacturing space focused on expanding our plastic injection molding offerings.
